HTC Products are Banned in the US Now.

HTC Products are Banned in the US NowITC (International Trade Commission) has finally made a decision in the Apple vs HTC patent dispute case. Earlier this month Apple sued Taiwanese manufacturer for infringing on four of its patents. The decision of this was very crucial for both Apple and HTC and ITC ruled in the favor of Apple.

According to the decision, from April 19, 2012 HTC’s infringed products will be banned from importing in the US. This ruling is applied to several products which includes Sprint’s Evo 4G, Verizon’s Droid Incredible, and the T-Mobile G2.

This is devastating news for HTC because they have already reduced its Q4 projected sales for this year due to poor sales. Last year, nearly half of their product sales were in the US. This is Apple’s first victory in its ongoing patent war against Android Manufacturers making their position firmer in other cases.
